As nonprofit founders and leaders, we spend much of our time focused on serving others, advancing our mission, solving complex challenges, and building organizations that create lasting impact. Yet many leaders have never taken the time to fully understand one of their most important leadership assets: themselves.
What if your greatest leadership advantage isn't a larger budget, additional staff, or more resources—but a deeper understanding of how you are uniquely wired to lead?
The Founder's Advantage is an interactive CliftonStrengths leadership experience designed specifically for nonprofit founders, executive directors, and organizational leaders participating in the Black Community Fund Vision Workshop.
During this highly engaging session, participants will complete the CliftonStrengths assessment and immediately begin exploring the unique talents that influence how they lead, communicate, make decisions, build relationships, and advance their mission.
More than an assessment, CliftonStrengths is one of the world's most widely used leadership development tools, helping leaders identify and leverage their natural talents to increase effectiveness, confidence, and impact.
Through guided reflection, discussion, and practical application, participants will gain valuable insights into:
● What makes them uniquely effective as leaders
● How their strengths influence communication and decision-making
● How to lead more intentionally through their natural talents
● How to better engage board members, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders
● How strengths-based leadership can support both personal and organizational growth
Participants will leave with greater self-awareness, practical leadership insights they can immediately apply, and a framework they can continue using long after the workshop concludes
