Michelle Jones serves as the Vice President of Treasury and Finance Operations at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, where she leads the teams responsible for processing the organization's contributions and disbursements. With more than two decades of progressive financial leadership experience, Michelle has built a career centered on operational excellence, financial stewardship, and service. 

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Michelle spent seven years in Internal Audit at Hallmark Cards, where she developed extensive expertise in risk management, internal controls, and process improvement. She later served as Controller for City Vision, a nonprofit real estate development organization, where she oversaw financial operations and supported the organization's mission-driven initiative to revitalize downtown Kansas City, Kansas neighborhoods by blighted housing with affordable homes for the community. 

For the past 12 years, Michelle has been an integral leader at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, helping to strengthen treasury and finance operations while ensuring the accurate and efficient management of charitable contributions and grant disbursements. Her passion for continuous improvement and commitment to exceptional service has contributed to the Foundation's ability to serve donors and nonprofit organizations throughout the region. 

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Michelle is a devoted wife and mother of two children. She values faith, family, and community and is passionate about using her financial expertise to make a meaningful impact not only at work but also in the lives of individuals and families desiring to reach their own personal financial goals.

This workshop offers nonprofit leaders a practical, hands-on guide to building a budget that truly supports their mission. By the end of the session, attendees will walk away with the tools and confidence needed to create or refine a budget that reflects their nonprofit's values and long-term vision.
